NEW VELOCETTE PART NOW IN STOCK

I have just had a batch of 3 lobe engine sprockets made to fit the KSS Mk II engine. They are 21T sprockets and pair with the M91/4 Engine shock absorber. The centre bore was slightly larger on the earlier models, so I believe that these will also fit the KTS, rigid MSS and KSS models. Please check out the main website for ordering these.

Hello guys, I hope you are all doing well and getting out a bit more on your Velos? Myself and Bill have been getting out the odd morning here and there, giving a few bikes their first runs out of the year, which is just unheard of for us so late on in the year because not only do we enjoy building and restoring these bikes, we love getting out and riding them. The 1936 MOV has been out and the 1937 KSS Mk II along with the 1965 Thruxton and 1954 ...

There have been a few forum posts regarding the Velocette chainwheel MAS105 and the fact that the central bore is too small to allow the chainwheel bearing C26AS to fit inside.

There are a couple of reasons for this. The MAS105 9 plate chainwheel is made to the original drawing specifications ...

Velocette Kickstart Oil Seal - BK4
Written by: Mark Newsome | Posted on: | Category:

Trying to make these old British motorcycles drip 'less' oil is certainly one thing that people have been trying to do for years. A common place for the Velocette to weep oil from is the kickstart bearing housing, part number BK4.

The oil level in the gearbox when topped up to the correct level, means that when the bike is in ...

Velocette Parts - Petrol Taps
Written by: Mark Newsome | Posted on: | Category:

I have a selection of petrol taps for sale in my webshop, they are all 1/4" X 1/4" BSP threads for all the Velocette petrol tanks. They cover most of the styles used by Veloce Ltd but as we know they kind of just used what was available at the time. The early ones used a brass round lever type and the ones I sell are very similar to the originals, however are now ethanol proof and have a brass filter mesh to help prevent detritus going ...

For sale is a nice example of a 1967 Velocette Thruxton, matching numbers from the factory records and still has it’s original registration number, so these are the ones that hold their value and most desirable. Very nice bike but has not been restored and hence is in good clean condition but has signs of use including some pitting and rust spots on some of the chrome work and the front brake side of the hub. It also has a few scratch marks on ...

Velocette Motorcycle Ignition Timing - FAQ

The timing figures given in the service manuals are the factory recommended settings when petrol didn’t have so much ethanol in it, so we have found that taking 1 or 2 degrees off these figures works well for our bikes, using the standard carbs for each model. Here we will give both figures for the OHV engines – all at fully advanced
