1959 Velocette Venom - For Sale

1959 Velocette Venom. We have a customers bike for sale which has been in storage for a number of years but following the bike being passed down within the family, they would now like to see it go to someone who will use it once again. The owners do have the V5C for the bike. The bike is in good condition, the chrome is good, the paint work is ok but both have some signs of pitting but comes up ok with polishing. I am told that the petrol tank has been re-sprayed recently which you can see from the pictures however it is just lacking the gold lines. Now here is the good bit that you will all ask, yes it is a MATCHING numbers bike, as it left the Veloce Ltd factory in Hall Green. It also still has it's original registration mark, which is BV which was the Blackburn area letters, which is where the bike was despatched to from the factory in 1959. The bike starts ok, ticks over ok and I have ridden it up our lane going through all the gears, although it would need some general service work after it's lay up, including work to the clutch. Just to confirm that we have not done any work on the bike here at Tanks Classics, other than get it started and ticking over. So with a little bit of work you would have yourself a great original example of a Venom. It is the one that we all look out for and try and get hold of if we can.
